Patton (News - Alert) Electronics has a new analog telephony adapter. It’s the lowest cost VoIP gateway the company has ever produced.

This little guy is called the SmartNode100 ATA. It can be used to connect up to two POTS phones or fax machines to any VoIP service provider.

“Customers have been asking us for a basic low cost VoIP gateway,” said Bret Patton, product manager at Patton Electronics. “And we listened. The SN100 ATA is our answer.”

This solution features two RJ-11 FXS phone interfaces. And it allows for call forward as busy forward, call transfer, do not disturb, non answer forward, three way conferencing, unconditional forward functionality.

Patton is multinational company that sells voice, network, and data products. It does business in more than 160 countries. And the company’s products are Swiss engineered and made in the U.S.

InsightsSuccess magazine recently named Patton among the top 10 unified communications solutions providers. The company addresses the UC space with its CopperLink Ethernet and power over Ethernet extenders. These are all companies which can connect IP endpoints to their corporate networks over very long distances using existing copper or coaxial cable connections. Patton also sells SmartNode enterprise session border controllers. These can be used for legacy telephony integration, for IP security, network demarcation, and more.

Cable Spotlight Magazine awarded the company its 2016 Product of the Year Award for Patton’s CopperLink 1101 Power over Ethernet Ethernet Extender.

INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine recognized Patton with the 2016 Communications Solutions Products of the Year Award for the SmartNode 5540 Enterprise Session Border Controllers with two, four, or eight integrated analog FXS telephony interfaces. And last year the magazine published a case study about how ComResource is using Patton’s SBC solutions.

“The way they wrote the software is phenomenal,” said Mike Lump, VoIP lead for infrastructure delivery services at ComResource, explaining Patton’s software is very modular, so allows for ease of customization. “That makes it very easy to architect two disparate PBXs.”
