TELES VoIP Gateways to Be on Display at Cebit

Plans are in place for distributors to demonstrate TELES (News - Alert) products at Cebit, according to this release. The main focus is on TELES products from its Access Gateways business division, that includes VoIP gateways available in the VoIPBox product line, compact GSM and 3G gateways in the ECOTEL product line, as well as the 19 inch rack system mobile radio gateways in the iGATE product line.


Companies of all sizes can leverage VoIP gateways in the VoIPBox product line to implement nearly every hybrid infrastructure available that uses ISDN and VoIP components. Companies that can already connect existing ISDN telecommunications systems to SIP trunks or integrate ISDN-based fax servers into new VoIP telecommunications systems can rely on VoIP gateways.

Gateways within the VoIPBox solution provide four to 180 VoIP channels, two to eight BRI interfaces and one to six PRI interfaces. As a result of VoIPBox, the ISDN settings are left unchanged when existing ISDN telecommunications systems are connected to an outside VoIP line. The auto-configuration in the product can also be leveraged as a plug-and-play to extend the ease of leveraging the VoIP gateway.

"VoIP-ISDN gateways in the VoIPBox product line cover all possible combinations of VoIP and ISDN. They can be easily configured by technicians and are offered at attractive prices," explained Elke Kürschner, DACH Sales Manager at TELES, in a statement. "They are particularly interesting to specialized dealers because of their high degree of user friendliness, and fair prices and margins." List prices for the entry-level model with two BRI and four VoIP ports start at $567.

For this upcoming event, TELES partner distributors are also planning to provide information about the TELES ECOTEL 3G gateways, offering two or four UMTS channels for speech and data transmission up to HSDPA speeds. These 3G gateways rely on mobile radio to connect equipment to the telecommunications networks where no fixed-network connection is available.
