VoIP Equipment: VoIP Supply Suggests Panasonic, Yealink Phones for Startup Companies

By Carrie Schmelkin, TMCnet Web Editor

So you’ve decided to go the way of VoIP equipment and now you are faced with a very difficult question: What is the best VoIP phone to use if you are a startup?

Being a startup company is no small feat. From trying to stand on two economically sound feet to recruiting employees to perfecting a business model, the last thing you might be thinking is “VoIP is actually a really good option for me, now which phone should I get.”

Fortunately for you, VoIP equipment provider VoIP Supply has your back, offering suggestions for which VoIP phones are the best for startups.

“Being in a startup company means you’re facing some special circumstances,” VoIP Supply’s Dan Kenitz blogged a few months ago. “Your budget is tight, your income is fluctuating and uncertain, and the office space always seems to be more ‘space’ than ‘office.’”

“But there are ways to stay lean in these cases, and one of those solutions for cutting office expenses is to use VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) systems for your phones,” he added. “Not only will this technology often be cheaper than traditional phones, but it will be easier and more flexible to manage.”

Some of VoIP Supply’s favorite phones for startups are the Yealink SIP-T22P or Yealink SIP-T26P, both inexpensive, open sourced, HD voice compatible phones, according to company officials. These phones boast a POE-enabled SIP system, and a more than reasonable price as the Yealink (News - Alert) SIP-T22P or Yealink SIP-T26P allows startups to comfortably start using VoIP systems while acquiring all the options you’ll ever need as a start-up, according to VoIP Supply officials.

For startups that will eventually have a lot of employees who need a simple menu and interaction system, VoIP Supply suggests the Panasonic KX-UT123-B or Panasonic KX-UT133-B. Both phones come with an easy to use interface; dual 10/100 ports so you only need (1) cable drop; PoE; and HD voice.

“We know that VoIP isn’t always intuitive for every user, which is why these Panasonic (News - Alert) editions’ easy user interface is a perfect way to transition into VoIP,” the VoIP equipment company explains on its site.

“With a 2-year warranty, HD voice, and an ideal setup for hosted solutions, you’ll be glad you switched over to VoIP service for your start-up – and wonder how you ever considered anything else,” they add.

Another great option, according to VoIP Supply, is the snom 370, a piece of VoIP equipment that is great for remote workers and features pen VPN bypasses NAT, ICE, STUN and built-in bandwidth control. The snom phone is an ideal solution for remote workers, which is great for start-ups that don’t rely so much on office space as they do modern technology and a sense of teamwork, according to VoIP Supply.
