Voip-Pal.Com Expands VoIP Equipment Offerings

By Carrie Schmelkin, TMCnet Web Editor

Voip-Pal.Com, a provider of VoIP equipment, is spreading the holiday cheer a little bit early this year as it is now including PointsPhoneGuard, a state-of-the-art antivirus program for Android (News - Alert) smartphones and tablets, as part of its Platinum Suite package on its retail website PointsPhone.Com.

PointsPhoneGuard is an all-encompassing antivirus program that boasts automatic real-time protection for smartphones against viruses, spyware and other malware.  PointsPhoneGuard and PointsPhoneMobile Android apps are available for all Google Android tablets and smartphones including the high-performance Motorola ATRIX™ and Samsung's (News - Alert) Galaxy.

"A truly state-of-the-art antivirus program designed specifically for smartphones can cost the consumer $30 or more annually," said Dennis Chang, CEO.  "For $30, our users will receive both substantial airtime minutes and the antivirus program.  Malware is still a growing concern and is just one of many reasons why security protection for your smartphone should be the very first app to be downloaded on to your smartphone.  The Platinum Suite/PointsPhoneGuard bundle is an integral part of our revenue model and we look forward to having a very successful and profitable quarter. The smartphone antivirus market is expected to grow from $387 million USD in 2010 to $3 billion USD by 2016(1) and VoipPal.Com is well positioned to capture a large part of this market share."

The Platinum Suite package bundles domestic and international airtime minutes with a one year subscription to the PointsPhoneGuard antivirus program, according to company officials.  Total airtime minutes received will vary based upon call destination as outlined on the Rate Sheet posted on PointsPhone.Com.

In other VoIP equipment news, VoIP Supply recently received some pretty cool kudos recently as THRIVE! Magazine took the time to acknowledge innovative Western New York companies that dedicate themselves to enhancing the community’s quality of life and adding value to customers.

VoIP Supply was one company that was highlighted and touted for its ability to capitalize on emerging markets and create a company culture that not only weathered the economic downturn but continued to thrive in the Buffalo-Niagara region.

“Founder and CEO Benjamin Sayers creates a prototype product, hires a developer, proves it in the marketplace and creates a business around it,” THRIVE! wrote about the VoIP equipment company. The magazine noted that Sayers has proven himself “time and again,” as he has helped VoIP Supply grow consistently over the last four years, win numerous national awards, and achieve over $25 million in sales in four years.
