Aculab, a provider of enabling technology for the global communications market and a company that offers VoIP developers the hardware and software they need for high performance, wired and wireless communications solutions, has announced it is now a member of the Cisco Technology Developer Program.
Aculab (News - Alert) says it joined the developer program in the UC solution category, and was chosen based on the company's commitment to customer service and satisfaction, as well as on interoperability testing criteria from Cisco (News - Alert), the world's largest maker of computer networking gear.
Hardware and software developers who are members of the Cisco Technology Developer Program can deliver tested interoperable solutions to joint customers.
Also today, Aculab also announced successful interoperability testing was completed between its
ApplianX DPNSS-to-Q.SIG Gateway 1.0.1 and the Cisco Unified Communications (News - Alert) Manager 7.0.2.
The
ApplianX DPNSS-to-Q.SIG Gateway (pictured right) was created to allow enterprises to extend the life of their DPNSS-based PBX (News - Alert) while still making use of new IP-PBX solutions.
The new interoperability means the ApplianX DPNSS-to-Q.SIG Gateway (News - Alert) can be quickly deployed by members of the developer program for use with a number of Cisco compatible business applications.
Earlier this year, Aculab was awarded “Best of Show” at ITEXPO East 2009 for its ApplianX IP Gateway, which helps SMBs and enterprises migrate to VoIP easily and cost effectively.
Just last month, Cisco announced the latest member to join its technology developer program as part of the Wireless Networking solution category was DragonWave (News - Alert) Inc., a company that designs, develops and manufactures carrier-grade microwave equipment.
