Aculab (News - Alert) has once again made better its media processing line of products. Targeted towards applications such as IP
media servers, IVR servers and voice portals and session border controllers, the Prosody X media processing platform is available with even more functionality.
This week, the VoIP
solutions provider announced that it has made significant improvements to the Prosody X line of products, adding media processing, signaling, call control and security algorithms functionalities. For media processing, this means support for additional voice codecs, secure RTP for safe VoIP communications; and enhanced conferencing and echo cancellation algorithms. Aculab also added secure SIP
support (SIPS); symmetric RTP and STUN, required for firewall and NAT device traversal by SIP messages; SIP session timers; and subscribe/specific event notifications to the signaling and call control functionality.
“These recent developments take Aculab a further step in the process of executing its roadmap for Prosody X, which spans five major domains: VoIP, security, mobility, high availability and video. VoIP professionals and computer telephony developers are invited to attend Aculab’s global conference, ACE, during March 2007, where recent developments and Aculab’s roadmap will be presented in detail,” said Mike Matthews, head of product marketing at Aculab.
Support for digium|Asterisk (News - Alert) open source software is also available for the Prosody X product line.
Next month, Mike Matthews will be speaking at INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference & EXPO East about the benefits of “phasing-in” VoIP. Aculab will also exhibit its products and solutions at booth # 1217. For more information on Aculab at IT EXPO, visit www.itexpo.com.
