A recent agreement between Interactive Intelligence (News - Alert) Inc. and Straitshot Communications will enable organizations to reduce costs and simplify infrastructure by purchasing a combined business communications software and managed SIP network services solution.
Using Straitshot’s private, fully managed (non-shared) SIP network, the combined solution can run standards-based contact center automation and enterprise IP telephony software applications from Interactive Intelligence.
According to Minda Marshall, vice president of partner channels for Interactive Intelligence organizations will not have to invest in an on-site SIP gateway, or worry about managing issues such as security and quality of service by pairing their business communications applications with Straitshot’s SIP network services.
“A very important benefit to our partnership with Interactive Intelligence is that organizations no longer have to piece together an applications solution from one vendor, then network services from another, and hope it all works in the end,” said Jeff Hautala, co-founder and vice president of business development for Straitshot Communications in a press release.
Hautala added, “This agreement provides a single, customized solution that takes the cost and complexity out of running data and voice applications on a single network-- a particular benefit to small and mid-sized enterprises that don't have the same budget or resources as their larger competitors.”
The solution can be customized to combine the Straitshot network services with the Interactive Intelligence Customer Interaction Center software for contact center automation, its Vonexus (News - Alert) Enterprise Interaction Center system for enterprise IP telephony, or its Communité product for enterprise messaging.
