Companies of all sizes are making the move to Session Initiation Protocol (News - Alert) (SIP)-based communications systems. There are many benefits of this modern technology, including lower telecom service costs and more robust features.
For colocation vendors and communications solutions resellers serving the business market, the growth in SIP adoption represents a significant opportunity. The key is finding high-performance device monitoring/management and network management solutions capable of meeting customer expectations and demands.
SIP-based VoIP call recording is a good example. Demand for affordable call recording solutions is high, especially among enterprise customers. Unfortunately, solutions of this type are often geared toward small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and are not capable of scaling for larger firms.
SIP Print (News - Alert), a company that specializes in SIP-based solutions for SMBs, decided to change that. It set out to develop a SIP-based VoIP call recording platform affordable for small companies but with features robust enough to support the needs of large enterprises, too. Result: the new SIP Care appliance, which officially hits the market today.
The new SIP Care appliance is designed for easy operation and maintenance, with scalability to support expansion of high-growth organizations, and smooth integration with most SIP-based and hybrid VoIP communication systems. SIP Care complies with CALEA and SIP 2.0 standards, and is available through a worldwide network of original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), distributors and resellers.
“With SIP Print SIP Care, vendors can offer their customers network and network device monitor/management according to their needs,” the company explained in its announcement.
SIP Care is designed with the needs of channel partners hosting and colocation vendors and resellers in mind. The concept is to provide network and device monitoring and management across a wide spectrum of devices—ranging from single-vendor to mix-vendor setups.
For resellers, SIP Care provides an opportunity to better serve retail, legal, financial services, healthcare, emergency services, call center and other vertical markets—especially when it comes to monitoring and management of IT environments from the cloud.
“SIP Care is a quality solution that offers monitoring and management of the IT network
and its devices for small organizations to large enterprises that need to account for and
manage their network at anytime from anyplace,” said SIP Print CEO Don Palmer (News - Alert), in a statement to the media.
