VoIP is transforming the way businesses communicate with its customers. The best illustration of the benefits of VoIP are VoIP call centers which allows companies to dramatically reduce communications costs while offering a much better quality of service than offered by traditional premise-based phone services.
Besides significantly cutting costs, improving the level of control, driving flexibility, powering seamless integration with existing data systems and enabling a range of new services to get off the ground, VoIP helps to streamline all business-related tasks taking place in a given environment.
However, VoIP call quality still remains a concern for companies, especially those deploying a VoIP-based call center and other similar customer-focused communications platforms. To address these issues, Vera Networks, a voice and data solutions provider of telecommunication software, hardware and services, has just launched a new call flow diagnostic service –vCapture—designed to help operators identify and resolve VoIP call issues.
vCapture from Vera Networks is the first cloud-based SIP capture solution that is capable of storing massive amounts of SIP signaling data, which can then be used to retrieve actual call information long after an event occurred.
With the new vCaptureVoIP signal capture technology in place, technical teams can target call issue-related session initiation protocol (SIP) signaling data with laser-point accuracy. The solution also records all SIP messaging within a switching network, allowing for in-depth analysis of session initiation protocol (SIP) signaling data including call flow, signaling, and equipment-related problems, the company said in a press release.
The service reduces the time required to determine the root cause of most VoIP calls and interoperability-related issues improving customer response times, resource utilization and reducing related operational expenses.
“vCapture is essential for anyone operating a Voice Over IP platform in today’s business environment,” said Christopher Bradish, CEO at Vera Networks, in a statement. “It fits seamlessly into any network architecture, whether you are a carrier, service provider, or an enterprise business.”
The VoIP call analysis solution preserves the integrity of any network infrastructure. It is non-intrusive and does not introduce additional points of failure into a network.
