VoIP and Voice Peering Can Positively Effect Brands

By Michelle Amodio, TMCnet Contributor

The first impression lasts a lifetime, and nothing could be truer for businesses when it comes to their products and services relating to customers. It is imperative that businesses make a positive impression on new clients the moment they engage in any type of conversation, especially via telephone. One way to ensure a good connection that conveys this and more is switching to VoIP.

There are a lot of examples of how Voice over IP can be used to improve customer satisfaction. With VoIP, a company can spread out its customer support personnel on both coasts, which not only increases a company's support hours but does so without incurring costly overtime.

Moreover, changes can be made to a VoIP system immediately. There is no longer a need to call the “phone guy” out to the office. If an employee leaves and another one takes that person's place, the phone can be changed over to the new employee immediately by the VoIP provider, providing professional continuity all around.

Many VoIP providers also offer a full flood of services in standard package form, such as call-waiting, call-forwarding, station assignment, remote operation, find-me/follow-me feature and click-to-dial contacts. All of these can have a positive impact on business operations for the company and the customer.

Furthermore, with VoIP, voice peering is possible, which can give businesses an added boost. Voice peering, which provides end-to-end IP connections for VoIP, improves quality and control and enables new services, such as video calling.

Along with VoIP, voice peering lowers cost since there is no longer a need to pay for extraneous features, like long distance calling. Voice peering also optimizes network reach and business needs and is easy to implement and manage. Also, businesses will see increased capacity for extremely large amounts of traffic while experiencing better control over traffic routing for a streamlined communications experience.

VoIP has certainly emerged as the new standard for business communication, and together with voice peering, it can offer the best possible impression on any brand or business.
