ADTRAN Wins 2013 Global Frost & Sullivan Award for Customer Value Enhancement

By Calvin Azuri, TMCnet Contributor

Frost & Sullivan recently awarded ADTRAN (News - Alert) with the 2013 Global Frost & Sullivan Award for Customer Value Enhancement. ADTRAN aims to maintain its 70 percent market share by providing its customers with advanced product design, extensive product capabilities, and partnerships. The company chooses to use a multi-purpose design framework, which enables its products to effectively address customer requirements.

In a statement, Frost & Sullivan (News - Alert) Industry Analyst Michael Brandenburg said, "ADTRAN builds its business gateway products to be as dynamic as the customers who use them. Frost & Sullivan's research clearly shows that by designing enterprise products from the ground to support multiple services and roles, ADTRAN delivers a strong investment protection message coupled with the flexibility to deliver ongoing software capabilities for the 'next big thing' in the UC arena."

ADTRAN’s Total Access business gateway series operates with both TDM and IP telephony solutions at the customer premises and also with public switched telephone network (PSTN) and VoIP carrier networks. Additionally, it also offers router and firewall functionality, call routing, branch survivability, and monitoring and functioning of network for VoIP and SIP trunking services.

Michael Brandenburg said, "This multiple role or service capability is inherent throughout ADTRAN's enterprise gateway product line, providing significant investment protection; ADTRAN partners and customers benefit from stocking and standardizing on a single platform to streamline support, certification, and technical training. As customers increasingly require more functionality at a lower price point, ADTRAN's integrated devices deliver greater value than many alternatives."

The NetVanta 6000 gateway series extends the capabilities of the Total Access 900/900e series by adding a modular option to the enterprise media gateway lineup. The NetVanta 7000 IP PBX (News - Alert) platform allows multiple deployment options, such as on-premises IP PBX, on-premises call control as a managed service, and as a gateway for supporting hosted UC solutions from a hardware appliance.

ADTRAN also has more than 100 service provider partners, which ensure interoperability with a large number of platforms and services in the market, giving its solutions immense flexibility within an ever-changing UC market, the company said.
