Daum Communications Picks SoliCall's Mobile SDK for Improved VoIP Application

By Anshu Shrivastava, TMCnet Contributor

Daum Communications has said that it has integrated SoliCall’s Mobile SDK for improving audio quality in its VoIP Application.

Touted as the first Korean Web portal of significant size, Daum offers a unique VoIP application for its large customer base. The VoIP application runs on both iPhone (News - Alert) and Android. In addition, the company offers best-in-class services such as searching, maps, SNS, community, and blog to 38 million users in Korea.

Daum has selected the company as the provider of audio quality for its mobile VoIP application, said Moses Benjamin, director of marketing at SoliCall (News - Alert).

The company’s Mobile SDK helps Daum achieve high audio quality on both iPhone and Android mobile phones, he said, adding that the significant increase in SoliCall’s respectable customer base is a clear indication that SoliCall is a marketing leader for voice quality enhancement (VQE) software.

SoliCall is a provider of network echo cancellation, noise reduction, and voice quality enhancement software products. It offers software products for audio quality improvement that can be used both for server-side/network filtering and client-side filtering.

The company offers both OEM products and stand-alone plug-and-play products, and it aims to raise the quality and standards of any audio conversation.

Last year in July, SoliCall announced that Korean-based Herit Corp. integrated its Server SDK for improving audio quality in its Flash Media Server. Herit selected SoliCall’s technology to improve audio quality and specifically to have a robust server side acoustic echo cancellation (AEC). SoliCall’s technology overcame the technical difficulties that are part of all server side audio filtering and it enabled Herit to “significantly” increase its MOS score.
