Provider of innovative hands-free solutions Jabra has introduced its new portfolio of Skype (News - Alert)-certified products.

These products have been introduced to provide consumers in Singapore with a hands-free VoIP solution for all of life’s situations in their mobile lifestyle, according to company officials.

Due to the rapid growth of the VoIP calling industry, the demand for better headset and speakerphone solutions – comprising of top-of-the-line sound quality and features – is on the rise. Increasingly, consumers are turning to laptops, mobile devices, tablets and PCs to make their calls.

In Singapore, the broadband Internet has a high 103 percent penetration, around 1.2 million household subscriptions. Company officials said that many consumers are increasingly accessing the Internet to communicate – whether via messaging tools like Facebook and Yahoo! Messenger or voice applications like Skype.

Jabra (News - Alert) SPEAK410 USB Speakerphone is one of the first products introduced as part of Jabra’s suite of Skype-certified hands-free solutions. The product enables instant Skype conference calls or virtual meetings anywhere, anytime, and has been tested and certified by Skype.

Audiophiles using their PCs, tablets, laptops to make calls will be impressed with Jabra Speak410’s support for “outstanding” HD Voice sound quality, said company officials.

Moreover, Jabra Speak410 comes with echo cancellation technology, and with it, users can finesse their enunciation and hear the different tones, pure and true – distortions eliminated. Company officials said that businesses can set-up business-class virtual meetings with Jabra Speak410.

Speak410 features a five-inch large round Neodyne speaker; a 360-degree Omni directional microphone; a touch-sensitive ring with dedicated buttons to answer and end calls; volume and mute adjustments for easy and intuitive use; and more.

The other VoIP-optimized and Skype-certified products in the Jabra portfolio are Bluetooth multi-use headsets to take both Internet and mobile phone calls seamlessly: Jabra Extreme – for PC and Jabra EasyGo – for PC, and the Jabra Chill stereo corded headset.

Earlier in April, TMC (News - Alert) named the Jabra SPEAK 410 as a recipient of its 2010 Unified Communications (News - Alert) magazine Product of the Year Award.
