Telinta, a company known for its cloud-based VoIP switching software, recently announced the launch of a new mobile service that will combine its TeliSIM mobile virtual network operator code with its TeliGlobe mobile softphone code.

Those two stand-alone products will now work together to help travelers make phone calls from any place on the globe. When users open their TeliGlobe softphone application, they can make and receive calls through VoIP. When it is closed, the TeleSIM SIM card will route calls via the mobile GSM network. Users will have complete control over how they receive calls during their trips.

With this release, Telinta is targeting telecom service providers that wish to meet the needs of international travelers. Alex Ferdman, the CEO of Telinta, commented on how his company can use the cloud to offer a product that tops the competition.

“Telinta offers a full portfolio of cloud-based white label VoIP solutions, enabling telecom service providers to better meet the needs of their customers and resellers,” Ferdman said. “Using the power of our cloud-based platform, Telinta customers can offer services that greatly surpass those of competitors who merely provide a single stand-alone service.”

End users on both Android (News - Alert) and iOS phones will have the ability to use this service. TeleSIM comes to those users as an MVNO software that has won award and leverages low-cost roaming agreements with more than 600 mobile operators across the globe. It gives callers the ability to latch onto those mobile networks and gain either low-cost roaming or free roaming, available in more than 150 countries. The service simply replaces traditional mobile call termination with the cheaper option of VoIP termination. Mobile operators can still receive business, but end users ultimately win through their savings.

TeleGlobe, the mobile application available directly from Google (News - Alert) Play and the Apple App Store, gives users the ability to log in via password or QR code. It can handle calling, as mentioned above, and uses push notification for additional functionality.

For telecoms, adoption of these services can make the lives of their customers much easier. It shows those customers that their chosen telecoms can offer more than just mobile calling and expensive global roaming. Furthermore, its ease of use can keep everyone from frequent flyer consumers to enterprise executives coming back for more.
