Telecom Platform Deployment Provider Offers Global Support Services; Customers Succeed

Telecom platform deployment provider NEI (News - Alert) made headlines recently with its Global Support Services offering, a service that gives customers the ability to repair and replace products regardless of their geographical location.


What this means for the customer is the expansion of support stocking capabilities, as NEI notes, which means being able to help customers in even the most difficult locations, such as service people in Iraq.

With 25 stocking locations and access to 700 others across the globe, NEI can replace products anywhere in the world with a rapid turnaround time, either four hours or next day. This helps customers offer flexible support to their clients.

“The ever-changing global market offers endless growth potential coupled with an increased level of complexity involved with delivering and supporting products worldwide,” said Jeff Hudgins (News - Alert), NEI’s vice president of Marketing in a statement. “Without the necessary knowledge and certified staff working on your behalf as Importer of Record (IOR)/Exporter of Record (EOR) in country, supporting mission-critical applications with spare parts or completely integrated systems is difficult and time consuming. The ability to efficiently manage the customer experience, from troubleshooting an issue to handling the reverse logistics and getting the solution up and running again in a timely manner, is invaluable. NEI’s worldwide support stocking capabilities remove the risk and burden from our customers, allowing them to manage uptime while remaining competitive.”

This is an extension of NEI’s already existing LEAD system, which helps new products become readily viable, as well as assisting telecommunications companies manage their operating expenses. Through solution design, system integration, application management and support, the system encompasses the entire lifecycle and is supported by what the company describes as “…a disciplined approach to program management.”

The LEAD system includes solution design, as well as system integration with full manufacturing and integration capabilities, including frame integration and thermal testing that are backed by robust process controls to ensure predictable repeatable results.

NEI’s enhanced global support services have enabled the company to achieve Associate Member status in Intel’s (News - Alert) Intelligent Systems Alliance.
