Figuring out the needs of hosted exchange service providers is easy - but delivering them is most certainly competitive.
Telinta, Inc. chose work with PortaOne's (News - Alert)PortaSwitch when it set out to create a VoIP infrastructure flexible enough to drive the service offerings of dozens of telecoms in every corner of the world.
Since 2002, Telinta has offered a complete turnkey billing, switching and customer management platform on a 'Software as a Service' basis to large and small telecommunications companies around the world.
'The greatest need is stability of the system and excellent support when any issue comes up,' said Alex Ferdman, Telinta CEO, told TMCnet in a recent Q&A exchange. 'These two aspects are, consequently, most important to our company.'
Part Two of our Q&A interview with Telinta, which focuses on what the company is doing, follows.
TMCnet: What are the greatest needs of your hosted clients today?
AF: The greatest need is stability of the system and excellent support when any issue comes up. These two aspects are, consequently, most important to our company. Having a stable, reliable, scalable, well-supported platform and solutions that may be customized to customers' specific needs is important.
TMCnet: Any updates in the works?
AF: We're preparing to roll out next maintenance release that includes BLF support for PortaSIP, GotVoice (News - Alert) support for voice-to-text conversion on PortaUM and routing-plan selection by prefix on PortaBilling.
'BLF' stands for 'Busy Lamp Field', which means 'a light on one phone tells you whether another extension is in use' -- it's a feature requested by a number of clients for PBX (News - Alert) solution. PortaSIP, PortaUM (unified messaging) and PortaBilling is a major component of standard PortaSwitch from PortaOne.
In addition, there are plans to roll out a new teleconferencing solution in the middle of May. We named it 'Teliconf.' Teliconf will make it simple to get people together for a meeting. Teleconf is a full-featured conference solution for reservationless and scheduled audio conferencing.
