Unified communications solution provider Intervoice (News - Alert) announced Friday an expanded initial order for its Intervoice Media Exchange from a leading UK mobile service provider. The initial order was announced May 5; the additional order is estimated at $6.2 million.
The name of the UK service provider was not disclosed; Intervoice said the company requested anonymity due to competitive issues.
Intervoice’s Media Exchange lets service providers offer customers high levels of personalization, voice-navigated messaging, video, Web and WAP access all from a single subscriber account.
Because customers can access Media Exchange services from landlines, mobile phones or the Web, service providers using the solution can attract new subscribers with relative ease.
Further, the sophisticated reporting capabilities built into Media Exchange lets providers collect, aggregate, and generates call transaction data, traffic statistics, resource usage, and customer activity. Providers can use this feedback and analysis to improve customer service and boost their bottom line.
“Service providers rely on us to develop leading edge, flexible technology for an intuitive interface so they not only stay ahead of the competition but also give their customers what they want today and in the future,” said Intervoice COO Jim Milton, in a statement.
“The flexibility of Media Exchange technology with multi-modal and multimedia capabilities is helping service providers shape the future of their industry.”
Revenue from the UK company contract will be reflected on Intervoice’s books starting during the fiscal quarter ending August 31, 2007.
Intervoice, which boasts more than 23,000 installations, is a global provider of converged voice and information technology.
