Looking to offer their enterprises customers with more feature options for their speech application platforms, Intervoice (News - Alert), Inc. announced today they will incorporate NMS Communications Open Access communications products into the Intervoice EVIP platform.
With EVIP, enterprises are given the ability to build, deploy and manage speech applications for their enterprise. EVIP is an interactive voice response system that helps enhance the customer experience and reduce costs for calls to an organization.
By bringing the Open Access technology to their offering, Intervoice is able to offer more features for their customers including, multilingual, natural language and barge-in capabilities as well as adaptability to meet the need of any industry.
Commenting on NMS's offering and the company's choice, Mike Polcyn, chief technology officer, Intervoice said in a statement to the press, "Its (NMS Communications) Open Access products offer the flexibility and reliability we expect from OEM products used in Intervoice solutions. Incorporating Open Access technology into our Intervoice Voice Interaction Platform enables us to offer additional connectivity choices to our customers."
NMS Communications provides applications, platforms and technologies that make rapid creation and deployment of value-added services possible.
Intervoice made headlines recently when their Media Exchange Platform was chosen by a UK mobile service provider; signing a contract with them worth an estimated $9 million.
The company also recently announced the signing of a contract with a mobile operator in the Middle East valued at an estimated $4.8 million, to support mobile video messaging.
