Loquendo Provides Cystelcom with Text-to-Speech Capabilities

Provider of speech recognition and text-to-speech (TTS) technologies, Loquendo, announced today they will provide their TTS technologies to Cystelcom Systems, a provider of contact center and 3G telephony solutions.

 
Cystelcom will integrate the technology within their Veedia platform, for mobile video solutions. With the text-to-speech capabilities from Loquendo, it will be possible to use speech to access video applications, send and receive video messages as well as monitor closed circuit camera systems or view a video newspaper.
 
"Cystelcom Systems have developed a complete solution that is both advanced and user friendly. With Veedia, a large number of video applications are provided straight out of the box, so that service providers can launch cutting edge services within a greatly reduced time frame," commented Rosanna Duce, Loquendo Vice President.
 
With Loquendo's text-to-speech users benefit from increased human-like functionality as Loquendo offers Glided TTS, and emotional component to allow speech expressive and natural sounding speech capabilities that enhance and ease the use and functionality of applications.
 
According to a news release, the Veedia platform is distributed in Spain by Multichannel Technologies and offers service providers, mobile operators, companies offering interactive video telephony services for 3G users, and broadband networks supporting IP, with an array of complete applications.
 
Loquendo made headlines recently with the announcement that they would provide speech technology to BySide.com for their WebCare solution.
 
BySide.com is a provider of the Web Contact Centre and Web Customer Relationship Management (CRM). Their WebCare solution offers an automated, online telephony solution that enhances performance and efficiency for contact center needs.
 
With speech capabilities, BySide.com's Web customer care services have become more natural and easier for clients to use.
 
BySide.com also announced plans to introduce speech applications supporting Voice 3.0 and Web 2.0 for banking, credit and commerce, and telecommunications—specifically focusing on solutions for VoIP.
