Speech technology provider Loquendo (News - Alert) has announced that their latest version of Loquendo TTS, version 7, is now available on the Loquendo MRCP Server 7, which was also recently released.

 

Loquendo MRCP, which was previously known as Loquendo Speech Suite, now offers integrators the ability to upgrade their platforms with all of Loquendo's speech technologies—Loquendo TTS, Loquendo ASR and Loquendo Speaker Verification.

 

Loquendo MRCP Server is a solution for fixed, mobile and VoIP telephony and supports many features, including DTMF handling, recording capabilities and barge-in control as well as supports both MRCPv2 and MRCPbv1, developed by the IETF Speech Services Control working group.

 

Loquendo MRCP Server also supports Microsoft (News - Alert) Windows 2000 Server (SP4), XP Professional (SP2) and Windows 2003 Server (SP1).

 

Loquendo TTS 7 improves intelligibility in noisy environments, thanks to the inclusion of Dynamic Range Control, as well as includes mixed language support, expressive cues and other features offered by Loquendo TTS.

 

With easy-to-use controls, it is also possible for developers to fine-tune prompts and adjust audio based on the location, speaker and audio device.

 

Also included are recently developed languages like Turkish and newly added voices like Lisheng, Soledad and Zeynep.

 

According to a news release, "Loquendo TTS 7 out-performed expectations under load tests, in particular showing significant improvement in CPU consumption in all configurations - which include TTS only, and TTS and ASR."
