Nuance's 'Conversations 2006' Event Nears

Nuance Communications announced today that their annual speech technology event, Conversations 2006, is just around the corner. Held this year at the JW Marriott Grande Lakes in Orlando, Florida, October 22- 25, 2006, the event will also include a new co-located event, Conversations Mobile 2006.
 
Nuance's (News - Alert) announcement today highlighted customer keynotes to be given by Orange, Vodafone and Cox (News - Alert) Communications.
 
The Conversations 2006 event will allow companies and speech experts to come together to discover and share their ideas on the launching of new speech services.
 
Also announced today, an address covering the role speech technologies play in breakthrough service strategies, will be delivered by Jeffery Rayport, a customer experience expert.
 
"Since this years conference is focused on helping companies elevate the customer experience, Jeffery Rayport will make an excellent addition to the conference agenda. His innovative views on the role of technology in delivering customer service will give conference attendees clear takeaways to help improve the current levels of customer care," said Peter Mahoney, vice president, worldwide marketing, Nuance in a statement to the press.
 
The event will also offer an inside look at Nuance's initiatives as well as new applications and partner roles. Interactive sessions will be offered for attendees in the following four tracks:
 
-Caller Experience- This track includes sessions on business strategy, winning customer loyalty and technology and design improvements.
 
-Business Experience- This track includes sessions from experts on optimizing their speech investments and takes a look at best practices, strategic planning, and performance measurements.
 
-Applications Experience- This track looks at real world examples of speech across the enterprise, including call centers, help desks and the everyday employee.
 
-Technology Experience- This track details Nuance's speech applications and solutions and how they can drive performance improvement.
 
Conversations Mobile 2006 will address the benefits and uses of speech in mobile devices for wireless carriers, device manufacturers, portal providers and content providers.
 
Google (News - Alert) and Nokia (News - Alert) are among the keynotes to present at the conference.
 
 
According to a company press release, the conference will also address the business opportunities and trends in the evolving areas of voice-driven speech content, download, email and text messaging.
 
 
"Industry leaders, such as keynote speakers Google and Nokia will gather to collectively address some of the industry's most challenging topics and will work with Nuance's (News - Alert) soon-to-be-launched Mobile Marketplace program to shape the future of speech technology for mobile devices," commented Michael Thompson, vice president and general manager, Telco, Search and Communications, Nuance in a statement to the press.
