Two BlueNote Networks SOA Products Win 2007 Unified Communications Product of the Year Award

By Anuradha Shukla, TMCnet Contributing Editor

BlueNote Networks, a provider of business communications platforms built using SOA standards, has won a 2007 Unified Communications (News - Alert) Product of the Year award for its Outbound Notification Solution Framework and the Session Interaction Plugin Framework. These are two of BlueNote’s solutions designed to deliver real-time interactive communications as services in an enterprise applications architecture.

TMC President and Group Editor-in-Chief of Unified Communications, Rich Tehrani (News - Alert) said in a statement that Unified Communications magazine bestows Product of the Year awards on companies that have demonstrated excellence in technological advancement and application refinements.

He said BlueNote demonstrated to the editors of Unified Communications that its products or services have gone the extra mile to help improve both the customer experience and the ROI for the companies that use them.

Both of the winning products—Outbound Notification Solution Framework (ON-SF) and  Session Interaction Plugin Framework(SI-PF)—turn BlueNote Networks’ (News - Alert) SessionSuite Web Services offering a one of the most comprehensive and innovative enterprise suites available in the market today.

BlueNote Networks’ ON-SF, the first SessionSuite Solution Framework, facilitates the creation of multi-channel (i.e. voice, text, e-mail) notification applications through Web Services. Designed to deliver high-volume personalized interactive messages, ON-SF has the capability of notification-enabling any application by integrating with existing business applications. These capabilities enable various business events to trigger outbound notifications. Based on customer interaction, these capabilities also allow the application to collect results for further processing.

The SI-PF is a multi-channel enabled alternative to VoiceXML (News - Alert) that allows the creation of interactive media applications, such as IVR (interactive voice response) by using Web Service APIs. This results in more direct integration with business applications and logic, which complements the ON-SF with added interactivity. This tighter integration is designed to add voice interaction or interaction via any other SIP media, to any application or process, simply and quickly.
