Telanetix (News - Alert) has launched
Digital Phone Service, a complete VoIP
solution aimed at simplifying the process for SMB's switching to VoIP-based phone systems. The solution offers small businesses a turnkey approach to upgrading to VoIP, including all of the hardware and software necessary to utilize the benefits of making the transition.
Targeted specifically at businesses of 2 to 5 employees, which do not necessarily have an IT manager, the new product eliminates the typical downtime associated with switching to an IP
platform. According to Telanetix, the target segment for this service accounts for 70% of the more than 6 million SMB's in the United States.
Telanetix Digital Phone Service offers several benefits such as a state of the art phone system including up to 8 phones (either cordless or desktop); elimination of the upfront equipment cost since Digital Phone Service spreads the cost of the equipment over a year, in 12 easy installment payments included in a phone bill.
The company provides a complete package shipped directly to customers' office and thus the customers don’t have to work separately with a phone equipment vendor and a service provider. Thanks to the Plug-and-Play installation, users simply plug the phone system power cord into the wall outlet, connect the router for a broadband circuit to the phone system, plug the phones into the phone system, and start making calls. The new service also offers quality monitoring.
“Throughout our history, Telanetix's focus has been improving the quality and affordability of communications solutions available to the SMB market,” said Tom Szabo, chairman and CEO of Telanetix in a statement.
He indicated that IP infrastructure and technology has allowed Telanetix to create a full suite of offerings for the Small Business segment. The company is now able to offer a full line of communications tools -- from VoIP to telepresence -- designed to enhance the productivity of businesses, regardless of their size.
Telanetix is an internet protocol (IP) solutions provider offering telepresence and voice over IP (VoIP) services to the small-to-medium businesses and enterprise (SMB and SME) markets. Earlier this year, the company announced a series of agreements with five major manufacturer representative firms that will strengthen their sales reach to 27 states covering many of the major markets in the US.
