Codima (News - Alert) Technologies announced the release of Codima Pre Deployment Test Reports. These reports give access to VoIP
readiness test results depicted in a graphical manner which show predicted QoS levels and recommended phone loading per codec in a word document.
Codima provides best practice software tools for VoIP Management and Infrastructure Inventory. Codima said that in-depth details from pre-assessment testing reports are essential for network engineers to facilitate deploying VoIP technology. The test reports will give summarized VoIP pre-assessment results in graphical views.
The graphical representations includeVoIP statistics on percentage frame loss versus phone loading and jitter versus phone loading all presented in a word document. Further Codima’s Pre Deployment Reports give accessible and predictable QoS
levels for the range of codecs which depends upon the concurrent calls tested.
Christer Mattsson, CEO of Codima Technologies said, “Today VoIP pre-deployment testing is a ‘must have’ and is often recommended by industry leaders. From our long standing experience we know that VoIP testing prevents project over runs, delays, and ensures voice quality.”
Mattson added that the new Codima Pre Deployment Reports was popular with customers as it is an easy to access and understand.
The Codima Toolbox offers a complete solution along with the Pre Deployment Test Reports. The VoIP pre-assessment testing tool autoVoIP™ Traffic Simulator helps find out if VoIP technology can be deployed in the network infrastructure by means of stress testing, continuous monitoring of QoS and testing at multiple locations. The effect of multiple concurrent conversations and effects of adding more phones to the network are also studied and enumerated by autoVoIP™ Traffic Simulator.
The report gives a one page summary of recommended number of concurrent conversations per codec
. The VoIP statistics include Percentage Frame Loss versus concurrent conversations and Jitter versus concurrent conversations
Codima Pre Deployment Test Reports form a part of the autoVoIP™ Traffic Simulator in the Codima Toolbox 5.10. This includes multiple autoVoIP™ Traffic Blasters which can emulate groups of phones at different locations which will indicate to users the limits of future expansion.
The Traffic Simulator can stress a link to find network limits. It is most suitable for users like telecom operators, SPs and VoIP integrators to ensure optimum VoIP implementations said Codima.
