SIP Feature: AireSpring's Daniel Lonstein Named to Industry Advisory Board
By Amy Tierney, TMCnet Web Editor
AireSpring, a Los Angeles, Calif.-based SIP provider, recently learned that Daniel Lonstein, the company’s chief operating officer, has been named to a joint advisory board for a publication focused on the telecommunications industry.
The board includes 17 members of the channel community including independent agents, subagents, master agents, VARs, dealers/interconnects, hardware/software vendors, resellers and carriers. Each member will serve a one-year term.
"I am thrilled to have been selected to serve on the joint advisory board,” Lonstein said in a statement. “AireSpring (News - Alert) is a channel-focused company and has been since our inception in 2001. We rely on agents, VARs, and consultants to sell our products. As a result, we are deeply committed to the health and strength of the agent channel. Without active, healthy and productive agents, AireSpring cannot succeed. We are honored to accept membership on the board and fully intend to advocate a robust agenda in favor of agents, VARs, consultants, and telecom resellers.”
As a board member, Lonstein will become a regular contributor to the publication’s blog and an online community at LinkedIn.
AireSpring, a privately held, full service communications company, offers market-leading long-distance, local, data and next-generation SIP trunking solutions that provide companies with tailored, cost effective services. SIP trunking is a service offered by Internet telephony service providers so that businesses can adopt VoIP using their Internet connection. That way, users can communicate with others who rely on the PSTN, since the enterprise IP-PBX (News - Alert) is connected to the service provider’s PSTN gateways over the Internet.
Lonstein’s addition to the board once again puts the spotlight on AireSpring, which has been in the news recently as the recipient of numerous awards and recognition. The company holds the record for more Telecom Association (News - Alert) awards than any other carrier or reseller, TMCnet reported.
The company was recently selected as a Top 50 Channel Program by a telecommunications industry publication. AireSpring was recognized for its “exceptional service to the channel.” The firm was selected to be part of the Top 50 Channel Program by nearly 1,000 indirect sales partners.
Earlier this year, the Telecom Association honored AireSpring with a Members’ Choice Award as the top “SIP Trunking” Voice over Internet Protocol provider.
