Sagemcom Completes Compliance Testing of XMediusFAX with Multiple Avaya Business Solutions

Sagemcom (News - Alert), a pioneer in advanced fax server solutions for IP networks, recently announced that its XMediusFAX 7.5 has successfully been tested for compatibility with key communications and collaboration solutions from Avaya (News - Alert) Inc., including Avaya IP Office 9.0, Avaya Aura Session Manager 6.3 and Avaya Aura Communication Manager 6.3.

In a press statement, Jean Champagne, General Manager, Sagemcom Canada, said: “The successful compliance testing of XMediusFAX with multiple Avaya business solutions reinforces our commitment to provide reliable interoperability to all organizations regardless of their size. We are happy to expand our service offering to meet the need of Avaya customers.”

XMediusFAX allows businesses to leverage their IP network and IP telephony services to easily and safely transfer important business communications, including purchase orders, records, reports and confidential documents. It also offers reliable fax service to small to midsized, as well as large enterprises.

Being a Technology Partner in the Avaya DevConnect (News - Alert) program, Sagemcom is eligible to submit products for compliance testing by the Avaya Solution Interoperability and Test Lab.

A team of Avaya engineers develops a comprehensive test plan for each application to verify whether it is Avaya compatible. This enables businesses to confidently add best-in-class capabilities to their network without having to replace their existing infrastructure.

Eric Rossman (News - Alert), Vice President of Developer Relations at Avaya said: “Sagemcom helps ensure that Avaya customers have access to affordable, yet high-capability faxing solutions regardless of the organization size and needs. Fax-over-IP is a vital component in unified communications and we are pleased that XMediusFAX has successfully completed compliance testing with IP Office and Avaya Aura.”

Earlier in January, TMCnet reported that Sagemcom has become the first global company to obtain CAT-iq 2.0 certification for the American market, which will allow it to offer enhanced DECT phones to the U.S. market.
