CyberData (News - Alert), an IP Endpoint company, announced the launch of its visual alerting device called the SIP Strobe that helps users alert a person or group of people via a visual flash or strobe when a call or unplanned event is happening.
The SIP Strobe, the first visual alerting device from CyberData, addresses ADA requirements for telephony signaling and notification. The company developed the product in line with customer requirements.
CyberData is targeting customers such as general office, manufacturing or warehouse environments where loud noise does not allow traditional alerts to work efficiently. The other potential segments include hallways in hotels, schools and office buildings. The device can be used as a visual alert for the hearing impaired to alert for urgent situations.
“This is the first visual alerting device we've designed and it was done in response to customer requirements,” said Phil Lembo, president and CEO of CyberData, in a statement. “The applications are endless, and what's most important is we've delivered a device to enable users with a simple method of providing event notification in visual form."
CyberData will be expanding its SIP End Points based on customers' requirements. The company is planning to launch more products throughout the year.
Recently, CyberData announced the release of SIP-enabled IP Office Ringer, a Power-over-Ethernet and Voice-over-IP notification device. The new device connects into existing local area networks with a single cable connection.
The SIP Office Ringer offers an audible ring indication when part of a ring group. The SIP Office Ringer supports direct SIP voice paging and priority-based Multicast broadcasts. Additional features include multicast support, night ringer function and event reporting, as well as firmware uploads via the Web.
