Egypi Technologies, maker of the Quadero IP PBX, is showing its latest product innovations at the Internet Telephony Conference and Expo this week in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

 

The latest news from Epygi is that, beginning in the second quarter of 2006, it will be offering three application improvements to its Quadro IP PBX.

 

One of those improvements is the addition of iotum’s Relevence Engine, which intelligently filters, ranks, and prioritizes calls based on their relevance to the user. The new feature integrates with customers’ existing information sources such as Outlook calendars, contact lists, and IM applications.

 

"For mobile professionals and small businesses alike, iotum cost effectively mimics the skills of an assistant, including knowing how to handle important callers that are on the line,” said Dr. Howard Thaw, iotum’s Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer, in a press release.

 

Epygi also is currently beta-testing two other applications—the Quadro Softphone and the Quadro Communications Manager. The Softphone, powered by DiamondWare’s technology, is designed for road warriors who need to make and receive calls from various locations, including from their laptops using WiFi hotspots.

 

The Communications Manager is an application that allows users to track the status of different phone extensions, intercept calls, monitor the call queue, and click to dial. It’s designed for receptionists, assistants, and advanced users.

All three of the soon-to-be-available applications will be tightly integrated with the Quadro IP PBX.
