MetaSwitch (News - Alert), a solution partner with Epygi Technologies, announced Tuesday its opening of a new support facility in Sydney, Australia. This is part of the company’s plan to better serve its growing number of customers in the Asia-Pacific region.

 

For the launch of this new facility, MetaSwitch transferred some of its experienced support personnel from the California office. This staff, and more as it is added, will offer support for the company’s switching and applications solutions designed for circuit-switched and packet (IP) networks.

 

MetaSwitch offers a service delivery platform and applications suite that makes possible a wide range of hosted IP communications services. The company also offers session control and media/signaling gateway products.

 

The solutions from MetaSwitch are compatible with the IP PBXs, VoIP gateways and conference servers offered by Epygi (News - Alert). The two companies’ products complement each other, enabling integrated packages of business communication products and services designed to meet the needs of small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs).
