Veraz Networks: VoIP Partnerships With Personeta and Bezeq International

By Mae Kowalke, TMCnet Associate Editor

At the Voice on the Net (VON) 2006 conference today, VoIP provider Veraz Networks announced two VoIP-related partnerships with other companies.

Veraz said in a press release that it has completed a round of integration and interoperability testing of Personeta’s TappS network service controller (NSC), which is now certified as a “deployment ready” member of Veraz’s Open Solutions Alliance.

That means service providers will be able to accelerate their deployment of advanced services using the TappS NSC and Veraz’s ControlSwitch softswitch I-Gate 4000-PRO media gateway.

"We want to bring new services and hence more opportunity for new revenues to our service provider customers demonstrating the openness and versatility of Veraz platform. We welcome Personeta as a new member of our VOSA program.

“Having completed interoperability testing with Personeta's NSC, our combined offering now offers a choice of many new services to our customers,” said R. Paul Singh, Veraz’s vice president of business development, in a press release.

Veraz also announced that its VoIP services, in conjunction with services offered by SigValue Technologies, have been deployed by Bezeq International in a fully-integrated, end-to-end VoIP network solution.

Bezeq, an Israel-based international telecommunications company, migrated to IMS-based architecture by replacing its legacy TDM system with the Veraz-SigValue joint solution. The company now is able to deliver enhanced telephony applications and services to its pre-paid residential and calling card subscribers.

“Bezeq International is one of the first operators in Israel to embrace an IMS-based architecture where we can launch new services and bill in real-time any type of media, from any type of access, regardless of the payment method the subscriber chooses,” said Bezeq’s vice president of technologies, Yuval Keinan, in a press release.

Keinan added: “We believe that the solution provided by Veraz and SigValue equips Bezeq International with the most advanced tools in the market to generate revenue producing services and create customer loyalty in both the residential and business market.”
