SugarCRM Announces General Availability of Sugar 6

SugarCRM, a provider of open source customer relationship management software, has stated that its newly unveiled Sugar 6 solution has the ability to set new standard for ease-of-use, flexibility and openness.  

According to the company, Sugar 6 has been developed with the idea that CRM does not have to be complex to deploy or use, nor too expensive for growing companies. It has been introduced at the CRM Acceleration events with a new user interface that places a premium on speed, simplicity and interoperability with other web applications and mobile devices.
A Sugar 6 product demonstration, along with a discussion of how companies can use Sugar to strengthen customer-facing operations, also took place at each event.
The company has asserted that Sugar 6 helps organizations to better leverage social media tools such as Twitter, Facebook (News - Alert) and LinkedIn, as well as any number of social media feeds, inside their SugarCRM user interface. Unlike proprietary CRM vendors' stovepipe approaches to social CRM which locks users into their system, and simply enable internal collaboration around internal data inside the corporate firewall, Sugar 6 extends the existing SugarCRM (News - Alert) social platform - encompassing unlimited external data sources to foster social business value. 
Sugar 6, the new release of SugarCRM's flagship product line, allows CRM users to listen, monitor and aggregate social data and tie it to their existing customer information in a simple yet highly structured manner - bringing order to the fragmented world of myriad social media data sources. 
CEO of SugarCRM, Larry Augustin has stated that Sugar 6 closes the gap between robust CRM and applications that employees actually want to use, and also allows organizations to improve their business processes and empower their customers - with no limits or compromises. 
Director of Marketing for BNSF Logistics L.L.C., Shannon Boyd added that the Sugar 6 has been a huge hit with every user at BNSF Logistics.   
Some of the key features of Sugar 6 include the delivery of a clean, bold look with new buttons and icons that allow users to perform tasks more easily while increasing the information density of each screen, simplified default views, inline filtering and one-click actions, and menus that take fewer clicks to access to help users to find the previously viewed pages from anywhere in the application.
