RhoLogic Launches Open Source CRM Smartphone Application

By Anil Sharma, TMCnet Contributor

RhoLogic, a division of Logic Appeal, an integrator of open source CRM provider SugarCRM (News - Alert) and SAP BusinessOne CRM software, has launched a SugarCRM smartphone application.

Built using Rhodes, the industry's first open-source smartphone app framework for rapidly building native applications for every major device including the iPhone, BlackBerry (News - Alert), Android and more, the SugarCRM application allows mobile workers to access, input and edit CRM data on their smartphone.

The company's open source CRM mobile solution can be used by enterprises of all sizes and, being open source, SugarCRM's trademark, is fully customizable to fit company and user requirements.

It can be integrated into existing enterprise solutions allowing business users to view and interact with product and customer information in a way that is most relevant to them.

Company officials said that business users on the go can now access the same CRM information that they use from their desktop, on their smartphone, regardless of which type of device they use.

"For almost a decade we have been designing, developing and implementing CRM solutions for businesses," said Chris Hall, CEO of Logic Appeal, in a statement. "When we decided to offer a mobile solution to clients, we chose to go with Rhodes as it supports all major smartphones and is the only framework to offer synchronization between back-end applications and end-user devices - a necessary capability for enterprise CRM mobile deployments."

According to Adam Blum (News - Alert), CEO of Rhomobile, the company worked with RhoLogic to produce their cross-platform mobile solution based on the SugarCRM platform.

Blum said that with both Rhodes and SugarCRM being open source technologies the company believes it is a perfect match that will enable workers to be more productive out of the office.
