Lexcel Solutions, a provider of business virtualization software and services for the payment technology industry, has entered into an agreement with Cardtronics to implement a payment network monitoring testing solution from Lexcel.
Cardtronics, according to company officials, is a large non-bank owner of ATMs managing self-service financial kiosks. The company operates more than 33,700 ATMs across its portfolio.
The ATM network has implemented Lexcel’s TestSystem Network, a technology platform that provides a complete network monitoring solution for testing transaction authorizations against regional and global ATM/POS network.
“Network compliance is extremely complex, and testing procedures are traditionally expensive and time consuming,” said Carl Kubitz, president and chief executive officer of Lexcel, in a statement. “Our TestSystem Network offers a strong third-party application for businesses like Cardtronics seeking experience and proficiency, as well as cost savings in transaction processing.”
Lexcel’s TestSystem Network facilitates the introduction of new functionality into processing environments in an automated fashion. It enables Cardtronics to focus more of its resources on delivering ATM management, placement, and processing solutions to its customers, according to company officials.
The system enables complete and accurate execution of tests 24/7, offering a complete testing solution from transaction origination through authorization. By analyzing the characteristics of transactions, the advanced program ensures compliance with network and business mandates.
TestSystem Network is capable of performing a wide range of transaction processing services including calculating conversion rates and currency conversions. It can also deliver the ability to accurately test production-like scenarios in an offline environment. The program also facilitates the simulation of over 70 processor, network, association, or gateway switch transaction formats.
“By using Lexcel software, we save on development costs associated with programming and maintaining in-house simulators and also save on billing costs associated with online testing with our partners,” said Prasad Gangaraju, director of EFT Operations at Cardtronics, in a statement.
The system also enables processors to efficiently gain network pre-certifications and strengthen their processing environment by providing them the ability to configure the test system to their own unique requirements, company officials said.
Earlier in February, Lexcel announced Wincor Nixdorf's United Kingdom office licensed several of the company's network monitoring applications in order to more effectively test and manage processing in its hosted transaction processing center. Wincor Nixdorf provides innovative IT solutions to the retail and retail banking industries.
