SolarWinds has joined hands with Meru Networks to highlight the expanded, native support for Meru wireless devices in the latest release of Orion Network Performance Monitor (NPM).
Orion Network Performance Monitor (NPM) makes it easy to quickly detect, diagnose, and resolve performance issues within the ever-changing corporate or data center network. It delivers real-time views and dashboards that enable the users to visually track network performance at a glance.
With the help of Orion NPM's Meru Wireless Controller, users can monitor access points and their corresponding client details including client names, signal strengths, IP addresses, MAC addresses, and an Rx/Tx summary. They can also access 15 out-of-the-box wireless reports, including wireless availability, average and peak number of clients, and rogue access points over varying time frames.
“With reliance on wireless networks becoming more commonplace and rising demand from our online user community, thwack, we added the Meru Wireless Controller Support Monitor in our latest release of Orion NPM to enhance support to our user community," said Sanjay Castelino, vice president, product management and product marketing, SolarWinds (News - Alert). "Now, users can effortlessly monitor their Meru virtualized wireless LAN environment along with connected client information.”
Orion NPM's Meru Wireless Controller allows the users to find rogue access points (APs) and view their corresponding SSIDs, channels, and number of active clients fast apart from grouping wireless devices into several categories, including controllers, wireless type, vendor, machine type, status, and location. It also allows the users to search for any wireless monitoring criteria, including access points, client names, and IP addresses, the company has stated.
Recently, European IT solutions provider Magirus joined SolarWinds to provide enhanced monitoring and management support for virtualized data center environments.
