As we all know, voice over IP (VoIP) networks reduce costs and create more efficient solutions for consumers and providers alike. Its SBC 5200 solutions has a unique design with embedded transcoding processing for real-time performance, SIP trunking solution with support for multiple SIP variants from IP-PBX (News - Alert) vendors, and built-in media transcoding feature with custom built DSP firmware.

According to Evox, the reason why it chose Sonus solutions is because of the growing demand for next-generation VoIP and SIP services in Africa.

With the many benefits it provides, the demand for VoIP has spread beyond the reach of countries like the U.S. and has even spread to more rural continents like Africa. As VoIP begins to replace PSTN, we are also beginning to see just how much it has expanded opportunities for users all over the world to gain access to the Web.
