It looks like this week is a busy one for market research reports. While market research firm Infonetics Research (News - Alert) released a report which highlights fixed and mobile subscribers, independent media company Visiongain has just released its own report, "The Mobile VoIP Market 2012-2017." This report examines the mobile VoIP market as well as the impact LTE (News - Alert) will have on that market.

The report states that mobile VoIP is at a critical juncture this year, as more consumers are turning to mobile VoIP services in order to save money, while at the same time operators are throttling and discouraging mobile VoIP use. There is, however, plenty of opportunity to monetize on the use of mobile VoIP, with the only question being who will step up to the plate first? The report suggests that Google, a relative newcomer to the mobile VoIP space, may be the company to do this due to its integrated Android (News - Alert) apps and strong mobile market share.

The full report of course forecasts the period of 2012-2017 in terms of value for the mobile VoIP market, with particular focus given to five regional mobile VoIP markets. Furthermore, the report contains profiles of 11 leading companies operating within this space as well as 67 tables, charts and graphs to add visual analysis to the data.

Earlier in June, Visiongain released its report on the cloud services industry, entitled “The Cloud Computing Market 2012-2017.” The report suggests that the cloud services market, like the mobile VoIP market is set to expand rapidly over the next five years.
