Growth of Mobile VoIP Creates New Opportunities

Voice over IP (VoIP) adoption rates are rapidly growing thanks to strong subscriber rates and revenue growth rates in the business sector. Comcast (News - Alert) and other cable companies have entered the VoIP services space to expand reach and respond to demand. As consumers and business users are increasingly mobile, the demand for mobile VoIP is also growing, creating new opportunities in the VoIP space.


This recent news release highlights the growth in the VoIP market, contributing to the growing demand for mobile VoIP. Nationwide Telecom, considered a veteran in the VoIP services space is expected to build a strong future based on the prospects and increasing demand in the industry.

U.S. cable companies claimed a subscriber base of more than 20 million in 2010. At the same time, non-facilities-based VoIP providers like Skype were also make significant progress in the U.S. VoIP market. Now that companies like Microsoft, Apple (News - Alert), Google and Yahoo! are getting in on the VoIP excitement, the market is gaining ground and the use for mobile VoIP is growing.

To help drive this demand and create new opportunities in mobile VoIP, some network providers are starting to build unique and integrated business communications solutions with the availability of SMS in addition to IP phone service. Nationwide Telecom is excited about the new discoveries in this space and is expected to roll out new services in the near future.

Another new trend in the market is enterprise VoIP. Like mobile VoIP, analysts suggest there could be technology hurdles that must be cleared, yet it is considered the next best thing.

For its part, mobile VoIP is also poised for exponential growth, especially with the increase in usage of WiFi (News - Alert)-enabled handsets. Major carriers are considering upgrades from 3G networks and WiMAX to open access LTE platforms, especially for investing in 3G. This is expected to propel mobile VoIP into the spotlight for telecom.

The inventions and future prospects provide significant opportunities for Nationwide Telecom.
