Mobile PBX (News - Alert) provider MobileMax offers a couple editions of their client, a personal and enterprise edition.
The MobileMax Personal Edition Mobile Client is a software application that lets subscribers dial international calls directly from their mobile handset - “with no additional keystrokes,” company officials say - and makes it possible to enjoy reduced-rate services.
There is no need for annoying special PIN codes or long access numbers, the product’s makers say. Just dial the number or access it directly from your phonebook and “the application will automatically route the call according to predefined criteria and real time parameters.”
It comes with Mobile Least Cost Routing – automatic and seamless -- and direct dialing from the phone’s native dialer or address book, cost savings for the end-user and major traffic increase for the service provider.
It’s being pitched by company officials as a way to “turn any multi stage dialing into seamless dialing: call-through, dial around, callback via DID/SMS/USSD, Web dialing, VoIP calling... once a user has registered, the application is sent directly to the phone and the user can immediately start using the service, no user training or phone configuration required.”
The MobileMax (News - Alert) Enterprise Edition Mobile Client resides in the mobile user’s device and extends the functionality of IP/PBX to the mobile device, according to company officials, who say that from the mobile device, “users can access the same features they use on their desk phone,” such as mobile VoIP and a single number for inbound and outbound calls. The mobile device and desk phone share an extension number and only shows the office number on the receiver’s Caller ID display.
It also comes with a single voice mailbox which eliminates the need to listen to multiple voicemail systems, mobile and corporate least cost routing, mobile extension dialing – short code 3-5 digit dialing to other enterprise extensions -- and a mid call PBX feature menu including transfer, redial, hold, conference and record.
In addition this solution comes with call waiting for calls coming into extension or mobile phone, simultaneous ringing –- “when the office number is called, both the desk phone and mobile phone will ring simultaneously” -- and conference calling.
