A master agent is responsible for working closely with many commercial telecommunication carriers, as well as making the lives of both agents and carriers alike easier through the use of robust technological innovations.

Thus, it isn’t hard to see why the increasing adoption of SIP trunking would prove to be highly advantageous.

In a recent report, it was revealed that in spite of the fact that enterprises are turning to SIP trunking at a rapid pace, though within the partner sector this growth isn’t as dramatic.

“T1 lines are still the most commonly used trunking service today, and while their use is declining our survey shows that North American businesses are using a combination of services. There isn't going to be a 100 percent cutover from T1 to SIP," said Diane Myers, principal analyst for VoIP, UC and IMS at Infonetics Research (News - Alert).

Yet, it looks as if there still could be light at the end of the tunnel for agents and virtually anyone else involved in the communication space. According to a recent Infonetics survey, those who were polled are forecasting that the leveraging of SIP trunking will grow from 38 percent in 2013 to 58 percent in 2015.

Moreover, the percentage of enterprises using T1s will fall from 71 percent in 2013 to 55 percent in 2015.

"One trend is clear: SIP trunking adoption is growing as businesses seek to improve the reliability and lower the cost of communication services," Myers added.

If you’re currently in search of a cost-effective platform that can drive efficiency and profitability within your organization, you may want to consider teaming with master agent Telarus (News - Alert).

In an exclusive interview with TMCnet, Austin Holverson, marketing manager at Telarus, said the agent is ultimately in business to assist its partners in winning more opportunities with organizations that need data, voice and cloud services.

Currently, Telarus is witnessing firsthand the increasingly popular trend of IT and telecom channels merging. Realizing how key the combination of these entities would be from the get-go, years ago Telarus saw the channels someday merging, and took the steps needed to develop its robust VAR network.

VARnetwork.com, owned and operated by Telarus, Inc., generates equipment leads for all of the most popular telecom equipment manufacturers. As a VAR sends more telecom business to the master agent, that VAR is rewarded with warm leads which match up to the product.
