DirectPointe Opens Phoenix Office to Support Rapid Growth

By Susan J. Campbell, TMCnet Contributing Editor

DirectPointe (News - Alert), a Managed Service Provider (MSP) for outsourced IT services, has announced the opening of its newest office in the Phoenix area.

The company has average more than 97 percent growth year over year for the past seven years and was recently ranked as the top Managed Service Provider in the world by MSPmentor. Arizona is one of DirectPointe’s fastest growing markets.

“DirectPointe’s business model resonates very well here in Arizona with the large number of small and midsize businesses,” said Chad Swensen, DirectPointe vice president of Business Development who will lead the Arizona office, in a Wednesday statement.

“The Arizona team will provide a local presence for greater customer service to our growing customer base,” said Swensen.

DirectPointe manages technology for companies so that they can spend more time managing their businesses. DirectPointe offers services that are designed to optimize and monitor networks, servers and PCs, manage IT assets, provide constant technology updates and deliver end-user support.

“When I calculated how much hiring an IT staff was going to cost me, the salaries would have been in the $150,000 range; tack on 25 percent more for benefits, and I’m looking at nearly $200,000 just for an IT department,” said long time DirectPointe customer Deb Telles of Cardiovascular Associates of Mesa, in Wednesday’s statement.

“When I look at what I pay DirectPointe and compare it to what I would pay to have the same things done internally, it is not even close. It would quadruple my costs to have the same services in-house.”

“With the tremendous growth, particularly with medical, construction and financial services clients in the area, it was a natural move to open an office in Phoenix,” said Michael Proper (News - Alert), president and CEO of DirectPointe, in Wednesday’s statement.

“We help them focus on their core businesses by managing their IT systems, making technology simple, manageable and affordable for them.”

In late 2007, DirectPointe acquired Arizona-based security solution company Sweet Spot Solutions. This transaction marked one of four acquisitions for the company during a year of record-breaking growth in revenue, customers and partnerships.

DirectPointe is in a unique business as organizations throughout the world rely on technology in order to conduct business, but do not wish to focus on the technology as it is not their core business.

By effectively managing the technology aspects of a business DirectPointe enables its clients to focus on the activities that generate revenue for their companies. As a result, DirectPointe helps to generate demand for its services, thereby dictating its own strong growth.
