Orange Romania (News - Alert), one of Romania’s largest mobile network providers, today announced that it will use Friendly Technologies’ solution for managing IP phones called TR-069, which will ultimately improve the Quality of Experience (QoE) for the country. Friendly’s product will be used by Orange Romania to manage IP phones from Yealink (News - Alert) and Grandstream as well as a range of routers.

The project is to be deployed by Transaction Automation solutions provider Printec which is one of Friendly’s partners as well as one of the largest system integrators in the Balkans. The goal of the upgrade to Friendly’s system is for Orange Romania to reduce deployment costs while simplifying the entire service life cycle, including ongoing management and support.

Friendly Technologies’ TR-069 device management suite will reduce deployment costs and improve subscribers’ QoE by way of more stable device management, ensuring peak service speeds as often as possible with few dips in service quality. The TR-069 suite includes Friendly’s Management Console which offers remote management of CPEs while enabling independent creation of new data models to be supported by the ACS (News - Alert). TR-069 also includes Friendly’s Provisioning Portal which automates the provisioning of new subscribers to Internet services while providing a single unified interface for the provisioning of all device types. In addition, Friendly Technologies’ TR-069 devices management suite includes Support Center Application, an Event Management System and a Self-support Portal.

Orange Romania operates Romania’s largest GSM network with over 10 million subscribers. In fact, despite Romania’s telecommunications market reporting the largest fall in subscribers to date in the first quarter of 2011, Orange Romania reported positive customer growth later that same year.

Friendly Technologies aims to improve subscriber quality of experience by way of its device management solutions.
