Digium and Yealink Announce Interoperability Partnership: IP Phone Maker Report

Digium, Inc., the Asterisk (News - Alert) Company, and Yealink, a professional IP voice and video phone designer and manufacturer for broadband networks, have announced an interoperability partnership and certification of Yealink (News - Alert) SIP-T2x series IP phones.

Officials with Yealink said that SIP-T2x series are high performance and affordable SIP telephones that help businesses leverage the increasing benefits of VoIP telephone systems.

Yealink SIP phones provide quality audio, a brand range of voice codecs, security protection for privacy and rich telephony features.

And now, Yealink enterprise HD IP phones will be compliance-tested and certified by Digium (News - Alert) for interoperability with Asterisk.

"The combination of Digium and Yealink enterprise HD IP phone gives businesses a powerful and yet cost-effective choice in the VoIP solution market," said David Chen, the CEO of Yealink Network, in a statement.

Chen said that the company believes that it is providing the best price-performance benchmark in the industry.

He said that the Digium and Yealink combination offers a very compelling value to SMBs.

"The Digium and Yealink interoperability partnership extends the power and cost-saving benefits of Asterisk to new user globally," said Mark Amick, director of product management, Digium.

Amick said that Yealink's commitment to SIP telephony excellence creates exciting new opportunities for their customers and the Asterisk dealer and developer teams.

Recently Denwa, one of the PBX (News - Alert) projects in Latin-American with worldwide recognition, and Yealink Networks had announced that the two firms have completed interoperability test in the Denwa IP-PBX and Yealink SIP-T2x series full range of HD IP Phones.

Denwa is a appliance and software that use Asterisk-based PBXs into a single, easy-to-use interface. It also adds 12 years of expertise in VoIP market to a simple product and permit the creation of third party Applications using APIs.
