By Stefanie Mosca, TMCnet Managing Editor

IP Phone maker, Yealink (News - Alert), manufacturer of IP voice and video phone has announced that it plans to release the latest firmware for its award winning IP phone series--SIP-T2x.

Yealink Enterprise HD IP phones provide high-performance and affordable SIP telephones that help businesses leverage the increasing benefits of VoIP telephone systems. They provide high quality audio, a broad range of voice codecs, security protection for privacy, and rich telephony features.

This new firmware which will be available for downloading from Yealink’s website, will include a number of advanced features.

The T28 and T26 now support two accessory products including the EXP39 LCD Expansion Module and EHS36 Wireless Headset Adapter, which will greatly expand the phone functions and bring more convenience for the users.

The V60 Firmware also supports the advanced features for BroadSoft's (News - Alert) latest BroadWorks Release 17.0. Features include Network Conference, SCA, BLF and BLF list. Yealink IP phones are now completely compatible with Broadsoft platform. The combination provides carriers and end users a very cost-effective solution.

The firmware supports the Call Center Solution Features for Broadsoft servers such as the Automatic Call Distribution (ACD) feature. The ACD feature allows the phone to distribute calls from a queue to the registered IP phone users. Users can login to a phone queue by pressing an ACD softkey or programmable key on .

With the development of internet technology, IPv4 will be unable to meet the needs of people gradually. Thus the next generation of IP, the Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) that has been in development for many years will eventually replace IPv4. After the update, Yealink IP Phones will support IPv6, which means the long-term supports for users’ demands.
