Aptela Releases Latest IP Multimedia Phone Application for Small Businesses

Aptela (News - Alert), a provider of business-class phone services to small businesses and mobile workers, announced the release of the Aptela Desktop Application for IP multimedia phones.

Aptela Desktop Application is the latest addition to the company's cloud-based calling platform. With the new desktop tool, small businesses will get an additional opportunity to simplify day-to-day communication tasks.

“The Aptela Desktop provides an innovative, yet unobtrusive means to keep your communications information and capabilities at your fingertips. This, the latest widget in the Aptela Anywhere ecosystem, is yet another example of how we are revolutionizing the virtual PBX (News - Alert) world,” said Mahesh Paolini-Subramanya, CTO and chief architect, Aptela, in a statement.

Leveraging Aptela tools businesses can intuitively manage and take control of their business communications.

An integrated call-control and screen-pop client for PC, Mac desktop or Linux, the Aptela Desktop App is available free of cost to Aptela customers. The offering is expected to work as a more efficient method for small businesses to manage communications.

Aptela is an innovator of virtual PBX and VoIP technologies. The desktop application, a major addition to Aptela's v5 platform can be used in association with other applications in Aptela Anywhere Apps suite.

Launched in May 2010, Aptela v5.0 answers the communication and collaboration needs of small businesses and mobile workers, who seek a robust and easy-to-use phone service that’s reliable and affordable.

The platform has the capability of cloud computing with horizontal scaling, robust fault-tolerance and a remarkably high degree of concurrency. The platform offers a robust set of APIs to extend Aptela's call management capabilities to mobile devices, desktop software and other applications.
