TNCI (News - Alert), a provider of integrated communications solutions, has selected and deployed Covad Wholesale Service to reach new markets using MPLS network and MPLS Inter-Carrier Interconnect (ICI) service.

Covad Wholesale is a division under the MegaPath (News - Alert) brand, which provides network access and solutions to carriers and services providers nationwide.

TNCI, and Covad, which have been partners since 2005, has already begun interconnecting its network to Covad's (News - Alert) which will expand its MPLS network to additional markets.

Officials with Covad said that this new interconnection, combined with the company’s Wholesale's portfolio of access products and network managed Quality of Service/ Class of Service (QoS/CoS) will allow TNCI to serve a broader range of business segments, in addition to their traditional enterprise focus.

"We are always seeking ways to reduce time to market and expand our customer base," said Brenda MacDonald, senior vice president, carrier operations of TNCI, in a statement.

MacDonald said that Covad Wholesale provides the company with a broad portfolio of trusted last mile solutions with an interconnect option that integrates into the company’s network and allows to meet business goals faster.

Lee Gopadze, general manager of Covad Wholesale Services also said Covad is pleased to have TNCI as a wholesale partner and both companies have evolved with a strong foothold in the marketplace.
