Video conferencing technology has come a long way the telepresence capabilities available today. Telepresence (News - Alert) enhances the user experience to one that is much more life-like feeling of being present at a different location, than ever before.

Businesses across the globe are utilizing this benefit to improve communications and growth, and as technologies advance and costs decrease, the potential growth for the Telepresence Market is on the rise.

One market still fresh to the growth, is Latin America, who currently has a growing number of companies "investing in resources to upgrade their existing videoconferencing systems," finds Frost and Sullivan in their latest analysis, "Latin American Telepresence Markets,"

According to their findings, the Latin American Telepresence Market will reach $27.8 million in revenues by 2013-- an annual growth rate of 77.6 percent from 2007 to 2013.

"The long awaited telepresence take-off is accelerating awakened and gaining momentum as the technology continues to improve in quality and performance," said Frost & Sullivan Research Analyst Mariana Zamoszczyk in a statement.

The capabilities provided by telepresence allow video conferencing systems to better display picture and sound in larger, high-definition formats for a visual experience that enables users in separate locations to feel as though they're physically in the same location.

According to the research firm, the demand in Latin America is being fueled by multinational corporations and will in the future likely also respond to large national corporations and their demand for improved presence and conferencing and collaboration tools for business success.

Zamoszczyk also advised, "It is crucial to bear in mind that Latin American companies have very distinctive communication patterns, forcing vendors to customize their market approach if they want to successfully penetrate the region."
