In a bid to improve their company's environmental efficiency, LifeSize (News - Alert), a provider of HD video conferencing solutions, has announced a new PlanetWise Program aimed at promoting green technologies and polices.

 

The company has also announced that as a part of their improved environmental leadership that they will offer support to Environmental NGO, The Climate Group.

 

The LifeSize PlanetWise initiative will help to reduce pollution as well as "provide pro-bono support to leading environmental non-governmental organizations."

 

According to a news release, LifeSize conducted a thorough environmental audit of company operations to measure the company’s carbon footprint and identify opportunities for environmental improvement. Their findings along with other educational materials and information about the benefits of video communications for carbon footprint reduction will be shared through the PlanetWise program.

As part of their support, LifeSize has donated HD video conferencing systems to support The Climate Group's global communication needs and has reduced their need for business travel.
