HD conferencing solutions provider ClearOne (News - Alert) today introduced two new media carts which can be used for transforming an ordinary meeting room into a video conferencing center.
First, the company
introduced the Titan Articulating Dual Plasma Media Cart, a portable folding display that accommodates two 42" to 50" LCD or Plasma monitors. The durable cart, part of the company’s Titan line, includes a universal mounting system supporting up to 200 lbs. The two arms on the metal frame display fold so that it can fit through doorways and on elevators. The company claims it is the industry's first truly mobile dual plasma media cart.
"The Titan Series of carts are built to handle rigorous use," said Scott Woolley, director, product marketing professional audio products, ClearOne, in a release. "They are high enough for easy monitor viewing and provide a nine RU size rack inside to accommodate multiple equipment pieces."
ClearOne also introduced the ClearPresence Dual Media Cart, which is designed to transform an existing meeting room into a productive conferencing and collaboration space. It, too, holds two 42" to 50" flat screen monitors, and offers a more “refined” design. The integrated rack system offers easy access to both the front and rear of the equipment, thus simplifying installation and configuration.
Like the Titan Articulating Dual Plasma Media Cart, the ClearPresence media cart is constructed of steel with a scratch-resistant high-gloss black finish. Included are two universal mounts for flat screen monitors and an adjustable mount for a high definition videoconferencing camera. The ClearPresence Dual Media Cart is ideal for corporate meeting rooms, courtrooms, training rooms, and video conferencing rooms.
"ClearOne's ClearPresence Series media cart makes it easier and more convenient to conference,” Woolley said. “It is designed to be highly durable and functional while also providing the style and elegance required for the most sophisticated settings.”
ClearOne will be exhibiting these new carts, along with its other award-winning HD conferencing solutions, at InfoComm, June 17-19, 2009 in Orlando, Florida.
The company recently named Curtiss Singleton, formerly of Optoma Technology, as its new vice president of North American AV channel sales.
