FlashPane, a flagship product of BetterCloud, has recently been advanced from beta to a paid product offering.
According to BetterCloud’s founder and CEO, David Politis (News - Alert), “Keeping FlashPanel in beta for over a year allowed us to gather feedback from our customers, make product roadmap decisions in an open format and add features more quickly – in just 14 months, we’ve built over 100 new features into FlashPanel.”
Offered as a powerful enterprise tool for Google (News - Alert) apps administrators, FlashPane enables them better control and secure their Google Apps domains, delegate granular privileges to non-IT employees, and automate common management tasks.
FlashPanel is EU Safe Harbor and TRUSTe certified and successfully completed SOC 1 SSAE 16 examination. This solution has been successfully installed by over 20,000 domains with more than 14 million end users.
The new paid offering, FlashPanel Enterprise, uses Google’s APIs to give Google Apps administrators more visibility and control over employees’ use of communication and collaboration tools like Gmail, Google Drive, Google Sites and more. This solution is boosted with variety of features like a more organized UI, easy-to-manage company directory, and better tools for security and automation.
“Taking off the beta tag (News - Alert) today doesn’t mean FlashPanel will stop evolving,” noted Politis. “It means BetterCloud is more committed than ever to our customers and partners. We plan to continue to engage with our users to deliver more product functionality in the future - it’s really just the beginning.”
BetterCloud is currently offering its customers an extended 30-day trial of FlashPanel Enterprise to enable a smooth transition to the paid version.
The keep up with its diverse customer base, BetterCloud plans to offer the FlashPane solution at different pricing levels to suit the needs. FlashPanel Basic is a completely free product, whereas the FlashPanel Enterprise for Google Apps for Business, Non-profit and Education cost $10 per user per year, $5 per user per year and $2 per user per year, respectively.
