RingCentral’s (News - Alert) online suite of “virtual” communications tools, including fax, are becoming more and more popular every month, as companies of all sizes (but especially smaller ones) are discovering how advantageous these services can be.
For example, all 22 agents who work for the Coldwell Banker/TVR real estate agency in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, use RingCentral’s services for faxing and inbound calls via a toll free number.
TMCnet asked David Jones, an agent at Coldwell Banker/TVR to elaborate on the agency’s experience with RingCentral. Jones explained that all of the agents find the online fax feature saves time and energy; they can pick up and review faxes from any location where there’s an Internet connection.
TMCnet: What are some of the factors you see driving the trend toward more professionals going on business trips?
DJ: In the real estate business, travel is part of the job. Agents take trips from our office for conventions, conferences and classes for education and training 2 to 3 times per year.
TMCnet: What are some of the ways businesspeople stay in touch with customers and colleagues while traveling?
DJ: If agents go on vacation, they can access faxes online and send it to another person to follow up if the matter is urgent.
TMCnet: How has you company's use of fax technology changed in the past few years?
DJ: We've been using RingCentral's fax service for 5 years, so our use hasn't really changed. How did we survive without getting a fax from anywhere? We can review faxes online and forward them on without printouts, which is easier to read. If I need to email a copy of a document, we fax it to ourselves in a PDF documents. We fax contracts, disclosure agreements, contracts, sellers disclosures, buyers disclosure, property maps, and data sheets from MLS. Instead of printing them we can fax or email.
TMCnet: If you had to pick one aspect of RingCentral's online fax service that is most useful to you, what would it be?
DJ: The ability to get access to faxes from any location is the number one feature.
TMCnet: What else would you like share about your experience using RingCentral's fax service?
DJ: The service definitely saves money, especially with rising gas prices; agents don't have to drive to the office to pick up faxes. I don't see how we survived before RingCentral—the efficiency and convenience gives us more time to sell.
